meet our imam, Dr. Mohamed Benkhaled

Our honorable Imam, Dr. Mohamed Benkhaled has been living in the US for 34 years.  He earned his Bachelor's Degree in two majors, Electrical Engineering and Islamic Studies. Dr. Benkhaled earned his Master's Degree in Theology then continued his studies to complete his Ph.D. in Education. He has been certified in the seven modes of recitation of the Quran. 

Dr. Benkhaled has been serving as an Imam for 15 years in different communities across the United States. He helped so many people regardless of their beliefs. His goal is to introduce Islam in Sarasota and Bradenton communities and build a connection between religions through love and peace. 

For Dr. Benkhaled, communication is the key to understanding each other. He welcomes everyone who is interested in learning Islam, seeking answers to their questions, or just watching the daily prayers and Islamic practices at the Islamic Society of Sarasota and Bradenton Mosque.
